About

I’m a pianist and vocalist performing jazz, R&B, and rock, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I started my musical journey playing sax and flute in the late 1960s with the Hursmen and the Apostles, Sioux Falls bands which have been inducted into the South Dakota Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Much later in life, I had the good fortune to study with wonderful teachers: Esther Landau (classical flute), Julie Melik-Stepanov (classical piano), Camille DeVore (jazz vocals), and Asia Brutian-Grant (classical piano). Here are live recordings of the Apostles that we made in recent years after not having seen each other since the 1970s.
